Depending on the type of a heater, heat may be transferred by radiation or convection.
HeaT radiation consists in heat emission of an object with higher temperature (here a heater) by means of electromagnetic waves, while cooler objects (walls, furniture and other equipment in a room) absorb the heat and increase their temperature in this way. Wave length of this radiation ranges from 0.76 to 1000 µm Heat quantity emitted from a heater surface unit depends on the temperature and on the type of its surface. The higher the temperature of a heater, the higher heat effect is obtained.
The phenomenon of natural convection consists in the fact that copper and aluminum heat exchanger receives heat from the heating factor flowing through the coil pipe. Then, air in contact with the hot heat exchanger becomes warmer. Since air is lighter when it is warm (its density is smaller), it goes up. Heated air flowing through a heater creates underpressure and causes the suction of its new part.
In every heating system there is convection and radiation. Their share in the general heat output depends on the applied heating system. For example ( floor and wall ) surface heaters transfer heat to the environment in 50% by radiation and in 50% by convection. Panel and sectional radiators transfer heat in 70 % by means of convection, and the remaining 30% - by radiation. For convectors, convection is used nearly in 100%.
In a room, where convectional heating is installed, the air close to the convector is not heated, even though it is true for other types of heaters. This is caused by small percentage of heat emitted by means of radiation. Hence, when close to a VERANO heater no unpleasant feeling of too high temperature appears that would affect comfort and mood of users in a negative manner.
As a result of transferring heat by means of convection, VERANO - KONWEKTOR provides even distribution of temperature in a heated room and natural circulation of air, which affects comfort of users in a positive way. Since exhaled carbon dioxide (CO2) is heavier, its layers fall to the lower parts of rooms and affect very negatively the health of people, while they sleep or sit at the desk. Convectional air circulation affects its homogenisation (elimination of air zones containing exhaled CO2).
The finishing element of the trench heater is an elegant grate. Wooden grates may be made of raw wood only. In order to protect wooden grates, they should undergo staining and varnishing treatments. Aluminum grates can be made of natural aluminum, varnished in any colour of RAL pallet or they can be anodised. Grates made of stainless steel are available only in longitudinal version.
Grates have been designed so as to hide maximum 30% of the trench surface. If a larger surface is covered, then the heater has a smaller thermal power. When using trench heater in the heating season, one should not cover it with, e.g. a carpet, or put it on any piece of furniture. It is important to maintain appropriate cleanliness inside the tub. Before every heating season heat exchanger must be vacuumed and the trench must be cleaned.
Grates are resistant to pressure and abrasion for pedestrian traffic of small intensity. For this reason, no trenchs should be installed in places where heavy pedestrian traffic is expected.
After the heating season, it is a perfect solution to place a cover made of the same material as the floor instead of the wooden grate. This enables to maintain cleanliness in the trench more easily.
Verano – konwektor trench heaters should undergo annual cleaning, preferably before the heating season starts. Heaters should be cleaned of dust, which had gathered in the trench and heat exchanger.
It is recommended to select a convector heater the aid of designers or computer programs for CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM design.Correctly performed technical design provides optimal selection of the size of the heater and other devices, correct installation and hydraulic setting of the heating system, which has an impact on further failure-free operation. Thermal efficiency of the convector is , to a large extent, dependent on temperature differences at supply and return and on water flow rate in the heater.
VERANO-KONWEKTOR heaters have the documents required by regulations valid in Poland:
Excellent technical parameters of VERANO the convector were confirmed in the course of in the laboratory unit Notyfikującej Technicŷ Skưšobnŷ Ưstav Pieštany. Verano-konwektor heater is designed for residential room heating (single and multi-family), as well as office, service, commercial, hotel, sacred, sport and other space heating, in which corrosive environment activity with respect to aluminum copper is not present.
